Situation and challenge
The executive board is launching a group-wide program that brings together various initiatives to strengthen integrity and compliance across all central departments of the company.
The program consolidates activities in the areas of integrity, culture, compliance, risk management, and human resources, aiming to achieve better global cohesion of all efforts and thereby enhance effectiveness. In line with the program, managers and employees in the brands and companies will be motivated and empowered, fostering cross-departmental mobilization for the overall program and its local implementation.
Project
cetacea provides support with a team of several people on site over a period of 2 years
cetacea designs the change management and communication of the program together with the group and implements it worldwide. Goal: create a group-wide understanding of integrity and compliance, provide specific support for acting with integrity, survey the status, and initiate and mobilize the implementation of all measures in all countries
Result
cetacea develops, implements and communicates integrity management measures within the program – setting it on track for the future:
- Almost 400,000 employees reached worldwide
- Around 50 ramp-ups in 18 countries in Europe, North America, South America and Asia
- More than 30 Perception Workshops to measure the current state from the organization's perspective (reaching approx. 70% of the organization)
- Understanding, motivation, and implementation competence achieved in all regions
- Culture change carried out, coordinated, and standardized through broad roll-out
Procedure
The change program comprises four dimensions: behavior, structures, processes, and tools. cetacea uses two levers in the design of the program:
Clear measures, processes, tools, and shared standards to ensure excellence in integrity, compliance, and culture at the company. Generate understanding and motivation for behavioral changes, for example by promoting a speak-up culture that fosters collaboration and equal exchange among all employees and encourages open discussions about mistakes. Above all, the aim is to unite the integrity, culture, compliance, risk management and human resources initiatives that have already been launched in the various companies and departments, and implement them globally following a consistent approach. In other words, a coordinated roll-out, which cetacea plays a part in shaping.
Roll-out: With the roll-out, the programme will be introduced in 150 group companies worldwide, with a focus on the 15 largest and most important ones. Employees and managers will be informed and mobilized on the topic, and centrally defined structures and measures will be presented and tailored to the specific needs and risks at each location. cetacea will lead the kick-off with managers and employees in the most important companies.
Measures: A total of 93 deliverables have to be implemented. These are summarized in a toolbox, a package of measures that is applied in each group company according to local circumstances. Each company implements the measures that transform the current local state into the defined target state. cetacea conducts a kick-off event ("Day 1") and a Perception Workshop in each of the group companies.
Communication: The program is also accompanied by various communication and mobilization activities, which are also undertaken by cetacea. The aim here is to communicate the importance of the program to staff in a consistent wording and design, thereby generating and reinforcing understanding and commitment.
